Connect Qlik Without Constraints

Qlik's MCP server is generally available, included in every Qlik Cloud subscription, and served from a tenant-specific endpoint on your own region's host — so raw app data stays in the tenant home region. Authentication is OAuth 2.0 only, either through a client a tenant admin creates or through dynamic client registration once an admin enables it, and Section Access plus space and app entitlements are enforced server-side before results are returned. Users also need Qlik MCP allowed under their role's agentic AI settings. Seventy or more tools span datasets and data quality, data products, lineage, business glossary, app discovery, exploration, master items, selections and visualisation — including creating sheets and dashboards. Two operational limits shape design: five tool calls consume one question against the monthly quota, and there is a 300 call per user per minute ceiling.
