Connect Factorial Without Constraints

IntelliPaaS seamlessly connects Factorial with your core business systems, enabling no-code integration for attendance, absence management and people reporting across cloud, on-prem and hybrid environments.

Factorial's MCP server uses OAuth 2.0 with dynamic client registration and refresh tokens for long-lived sessions, and its permission model is strict pass-through — every action runs as the connected person, and if they cannot do something in Factorial the assistant cannot either. Tools come in two tiers. Four direct tools cover attendance with timezone-aware clock in and out, tasks, time off including requesting leave, and employee lookup, and none of them consume credits. A fifth delegates free-form questions to Factorial's own AI assistant across policies, contracts, reports and performance reviews — that one requires a plan that includes Factorial One and consumes its credits. Where a company restricts custom connectors, a workspace owner has to add the connector at organisation level first.

Factorial integration capabilities

  • Clock in and out and read current clock status, timezone aware.
  • List assigned and in-progress tasks, and create new ones.
  • Read upcoming leaves and leave types.
  • Request time off on behalf of the connected person.
  • Look up colleagues by name or email and read contact information.
  • Ask free-form questions across policies, contracts, reports and reviews through Factorial One.

These capabilities keep attendance and absence data flowing into the systems that pay and plan for people, without anyone exporting a timesheet. IntelliPaaS handles field mapping, timezone handling and data type transformation automatically.

Common integration scenarios

  • Feed attendance and absence data into payroll runs on schedule.
  • Sync employee and org data with the HRIS or directory.
  • Route time off requests and approvals through Slack or Microsoft Teams.
  • Load headcount, absence and attendance data into Power BI or Snowflake.
  • Create onboarding tasks in Factorial when a candidate is hired.

These scenarios address the most common friction in HR operations — absence recorded in one system and paid from another, attendance chased by hand — by automating the flows between Factorial and the platforms around it.

Deployment & security

Flexible deployment is essential for organisations operating in regulated industries or jurisdictions with strict data residency requirements. IntelliPaaS supports private cloud and on-premise deployments with full regional data sovereignty, which matters here because Factorial publishes a single production endpoint with no regional variants. All deployment modes receive the same feature set, connector library and support tier, with no capability trade-offs based on deployment choice.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What authentication does the connector use?

OAuth 2.0 with dynamic client registration and refresh tokens for long-lived sessions. Every action runs as the connected person — if they cannot do something in Factorial, the assistant cannot either.

Does it cost anything to use?

The four direct tools — attendance, tasks, time off and employee lookup — consume no credits. The Factorial One tool requires a plan that includes Factorial One and consumes its credits exactly as if the question were asked in the product.

Does an administrator need to enable it?

Where a company restricts custom connectors, yes — a workspace owner or admin adds the Factorial connector at organisation level before individuals can connect. Some AI clients also require their own developer or connector mode.

Can I deploy on-premise or in a private cloud?

Yes. Cloud (SaaS), private cloud in your own VPC, and fully on-premise or air-gapped deployments are all supported, with full feature parity across every mode.

Is my data secure?

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and IntelliPaaS is GDPR-ready. Permissions pass straight through from Factorial with no escalation, and on-prem modes keep people data inside your own infrastructure boundary.
