Looker's MCP server runs on your own instance rather than a shared vendor endpoint: the address is simply your Looker URL with /mcp appended, and every request inherits the signed-in user's Looker roles and content permissions. Access is OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, and each agent has to be registered by an administrator before it can connect. Every tool is disabled by default, so an admin decides exactly which of the model, query, content, LookML and instance-health tools an agent can reach. Because the endpoint is your instance, VPC Service Controls and CMEK apply automatically.
