Connect Domo Without Constraints

IntelliPaaS seamlessly connects Domo with your core business systems, enabling no-code integration for governed analytics, dataset querying and operational reporting across cloud, on-prem and hybrid environments.

Domo's MCP server is per-instance: the endpoint lives on your own Domo domain and is retrieved from the AI Library under the Domo Basic MCP toolkit, which means residency follows wherever your instance already runs. Two authentication paths are supported — standard OAuth against your instance, which is the recommended route, or a Domo access token passed as a developer-token header. Access is governed by role grants, so Use AI Services, Use AI Chat and Use MCP all have to be enabled on the role, and AI Chat dataset restrictions apply on top. The toolkit as it currently ships is read-oriented: SQL query, search, documentation query and document collection tools. Domo's wider agent-building and workflow capabilities sit outside this toolkit. It is in public open beta, and token charges can apply where a tool calls a Domo-provided model.

Domo integration capabilities

  • Run SQL queries against datasets the connected user can already access.
  • Search across Domo content.
  • List and query document collections.
  • Read files held in document collections.
  • Query Domo documentation for schema and usage context.
  • Operate under role grants for AI Services, AI Chat and MCP, plus dataset restrictions.

These capabilities let governed Domo data reach the systems that act on it, so numbers agreed in Domo can drive workflows elsewhere without being exported. IntelliPaaS handles field mapping, pagination and data type transformation automatically.

Common integration scenarios

  • Push Domo query results into Slack, Google Sheets or scheduled email digests.
  • Trigger an operational workflow when a Domo metric crosses a threshold.
  • Blend Domo output with Power BI or warehouse reporting for board packs.
  • Feed Domo dataset results into forecasting and planning systems on a schedule.
  • Route document collection content into a knowledge base or records system.

These scenarios address the most common friction in enterprise BI — insight that stops at the dashboard, and reporting rebuilt in a second tool — by automating the flows between Domo and the platforms around it.

Deployment & security

Flexible deployment is essential for organisations operating in regulated industries or jurisdictions with strict data residency requirements. IntelliPaaS supports private cloud and on-premise deployments with full regional data sovereignty, and because the Domo MCP endpoint is your own instance domain, residency follows the instance. All deployment modes receive the same feature set, connector library and support tier, with no capability trade-offs based on deployment choice.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What authentication does the connector use?

Either standard OAuth against your Domo instance, which is the recommended path, or a Domo access token provisioned under Admin, Authentication, passed as a developer-token header. Access is then governed by the Use AI Services, Use AI Chat and Use MCP role grants.

Can it write back into Domo?

Not through the Domo Basic MCP toolkit as it currently ships — the tools available are read-oriented. Domo's broader agent-building and workflow capabilities are separate from this toolkit.

Are there extra costs?

Domo AI is gated to consumption customers, so a consumption agreement is required, and token charges can apply where a tool calls a Domo-provided model. The MCP server itself is in public open beta.

Can I deploy on-premise or in a private cloud?

Yes. Cloud (SaaS), private cloud in your own VPC, and fully on-premise or air-gapped deployments are all supported, with full feature parity across every mode.

Is my data secure?

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and IntelliPaaS is GDPR-ready. Access is limited by Domo role grants and dataset restrictions, and on-prem modes keep analytics data inside your own infrastructure boundary.
