Brex hosts its MCP server at api.brex.com/mcp and supports two authentication paths: OAuth with dynamic client registration, which handles scopes automatically and is the recommended route, or API keys from the developer settings for programmatic access, where an admin grants scopes by hand. Either way your Brex permissions carry over — an agent sees and changes only what you are authorised to. The tool surface is deliberately asymmetric: roughly forty tools covering users, expenses, cards and limits, banking accounts and transactions, bills and vendors, and travel, but write access is confined to memos, receipts, attendees and spend limits on your own transactions.
